Kandeh K. Yumkella

Director General, UNIDO

 

Yumkella joined UNIDO in 1996 as Special Advisor to the then Director-General. He was a UNIDO Representative and Director of the Regional Industrial Development Centre in Nigeria, and later a Senior Advisor to the previous Director-General. Prior to joining UNIDO, he was Minister for Trade, Industry and State Enterprises of Sierra Leone. Yumkella holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois.

Rajendra K. Pachauri

Chairman, IPCC

 

Pachauri has headed TERI since 1981, and is. He has been selected as Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) since April 2002. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Economics from North Carolina State University. He has  the author of numerous books and also serves as the head of the Energy and Resources Institute, a developing country institution devoted to sustainable development.

Nebojsa Nakicenovic

Deputy Director, IIASA

 

Nakicenovic co-authored the IPCC Special Report on Emissions Scenarios, the Third Assessment Report of the IPCC, and the World Energy Assessment. He is a Guest Professor at the Technical University of Graz, Coordinating Lead Author of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, and Coordinating Lead Author of Fourth Assessment Report of the IPCC.
